Civilisations 2008/2009
Welcome to the second season of Fred. Olsen's Civilisations cruises, each designed to appeal to lovers of culture, history and the arts.
Individuals who expect not just to travel in luxury and comfort to some of the world's most beautiful and historic locations, but also to learn more about those places and the people who have lived or visited there in the past; the soldiers and philosophers, artists and artisans, explorers and diplomats, fortune seekers and farmers who have shaped ideas and the land itself.
The aim of Civilisations is to provide you with even greater fulfilment and enjoyment from your cruise; to open your eyes to a range of subjects and cultures. Following its first successful season, the programme has been increased to eleven cruises on both Boudicca and Black Watch. The great thing about a Civilisations cruise is there are no unexpected charges - prices are all inclusive. For a simple supplement, which varies between cruises, virtually everything is taken care of.
To make your Civilisations cruise as relaxing as possible, prices in this brochure include all on-board and tours gratuties, exclusive welcome party, meals, special lectures and privately-escorted tours, port and passenger taxes, as well as an especially designed Civilisations leather journal in which to record your experiences. The only thing not covered - to enable you to chose from your ship's exclusive and well-stocked cellars - is your individual bar and restaurant drinks.
Each Civilisations package carries a standard supplement, so to calculate the cost of your cruise simply add the supplement price to the special offer price of your chosen suite or cabin and multiply by the number of people in your party. Kindly note that it's not necessary for everyone in your cabin to take a Civilisations package.
